Massive multiplayer online role playing games, MMORPGs for short, are the latest fad especially with the teenagers and of course, the young at heart. This is because MMORPGs have given a new and different level of fun and excitement to the world of gaming. This is evident when you are playing an MMORPG, you are actually playing with hundreds or even thousands of people from all around the world at the same time. Of course, this is possible thanks to the wonders brought about by the internet and certain advancements regarding the personal computer.

One of the most popular MMORPGs is World of Warcraft which is more famously known worldwide as WoW. World of Warcraft was created by Blizzard Entertainment and was released on November 23, 2004 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Warcraft franchise. It has then risen to success and is the most subscribed online game of all time, grabbing the Guinness world record for the most popular MMORPG for subscribers in the process.

World of Warcraft is not that different from the other MMORPGs out there. It also has similar character class prototypes along with the PvM (Player versus Monster) system. What's so great about WoW though is its PvP system (Player versus Player). This is why a lot of World of Warcraft PVP guides can be found especially in the official website's forums area.

There are a lot of PvP systems in WoW but the one that hooked online gamers to it is having the ability to kill a player while he or she is busy in PvM mode. So basically, the PvM and PvP areas of WoW overlap which was a first in the world of online gaming. This has enticed the havoc-hungry gamers to spend more time in playing WoW so that they don't get trampled upon by high level players from other factions.

To succeed in the PvP mode of WoW, the only thing you need to do is to familiarize yourself with all the character classes and their respective skills especially those of which you are using. This is because each character class has certain strengths, weaknesses and styles of combat. For example, a Warrior class is good at close ranged combat and is pretty much tough to kill. A Mage class on the other hand specializes in long range attacks resulting to devastating damage but is vulnerable to close ranged combat. If the two would meet in a PvP area then the Warrior would most likely rush toward the Mage in order to close the distance and prevent the Mage from casting deadly spells. The Mage on the other hand will do everything to maintain or increase the distance and while doing so would cast several spells which would damage and eventually kill the Warrior as long as he doesn't get near.

To clear it all up, there is no strongest character class in WoW. Every class has its strengths and weaknesses and for this, a successful PvP player is determined through the way he or she uses these strengths against the opposing player's weaknesses.
